Francis P. Murphy

Francis Parnell Murphy was a manufacturer and politician from Nashua, New Hampshire. He served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives and on the Governors Council before being twice elected as a Republican Governor.

Murphy was the fourth of eight children born to Irish immigrant Roman Catholic parents. His father was a tannery worker and a Civil War veteran.
